Pagoda top hood with wood sound frets, the case with long break arch door veneered with well figured wood and flanked with brass capped reeded and brass lined pillars, panelled plinth and shaped apron feet.
12-inch brass dial with silvered chapter ring and shell rococo spandrels, matted centre, seconds dial, calendar aperture and signed Wm. Jourdain, London, on an applied half moon plaque, the arch with a strike / silent dial.
8-day 5-piller movement with anchor escapement striking the hours and as a rare feature but common with this maker, the halves on a bell.
