Imported by John Hall & Co, Manchester Balloon shaped profusely enamelled, gilt bronze case with cast cupid surmount over shell cresting and, raised on foliate scroll backed female term supports extending as cabriole legs with ball and claw feet. 2.25 inch dial with Roman numerals on shield cartouches, enamelled centre and inscription, ”Imported by John Hall & Co, Manchester”. Two train, 8-day movement, hour and half hour striking on a bell, with lever platform escapement and with Medaille d'Argent Exhibition stamp. 26cm, (10.25") high.
