THIS ITEM IS SOLD Antique 9 carat hallmarked tri-colour gold 1920's Ladies evening bag 107.5 grams. The chainmesh bag has 3 colours in a square pattern. Rose gold lines outlining the squares of yellow gold with white gold in the centre of the squares. The long 17cm / 6.75 inch yellow gold strap handle has a rose gold bar at the purse end. The rose gold purse frame Hallmarked London 1924 with 2 blue Topaz cabochons in the clip closer. Inscribed to the interior of the purse frame, Mrs R Sweet. C/O Grindlay & Co. Calcutta. The makers mark is RL. Possibly Robert Laing, Glasgow. The purse is approx 15cm /6 inches long and 13cm / 5.25 inches at its widest. Weight 107.5 grams. In nice antique condition.
