Antique French gilt bronze ormolu mantel clock with blue porcelain Serves panels.
Circa 1890.
French, Japy Frere, 8-Day 2-train movement, striking the hours and the halves on bell, marked H & C Paris & London and numbered 1948.
The porcelain dial has gilt hands and Roman numerals, the porcelain is marked on the reverse of all the pieces, Hant. Collot. P. C. Curq. QR 55.
The clock is in fine, original condition and works well, although it does have a replacement pendulum.
